Quickie

Yesterday in note form:

1. Very little sleep, much tossing, turning and ruminating
2. SDig arrived to wake me up and escort me to new singing group - I thought it was singing for nutters, but it's for health problems, turns out it's all oldies.
3. Singing fantastic - people v friendly, songs good though some had me suddenly sobbing mid line - teacher said not to worry, a few that weren't there yesterday often do that. Fabulous group, hope to continue and make it part of my life.
4. Came home to find Sdig and TinyM had cleaned, tidied and sorted out my flat while I was out. Wept a bit more.
5. Checked bank balance - not as low as imagined as I've done/spent fuck all for ages apart from nasty takeaway food. Decided to treat myself to box set of The Wire to see me through sleepless nights and be able to discuss it with Son who's on it for the first time.
6. Came home to find tweet about one day course led by three of my favourite Guardian columnists, on writing columns, blogs etc, finding a voice (think I have one of those), focus etc. Booked myself a place on it. Oh my fucking God - how excited?
7. Watched first five episodes of first season of The Wire - still as awesomely better than anything else - wonderful to be spending time with these characters again - ya feel me?

And today Son has passed through on his way to NA session, Bloke is home and will be round soon. Anxiety running at about 7/10 which is down but not great.

Want to write about how Thatcher's death is causing great reflection - can you believe 'Ding dong the witch is dead' is back in the charts?

Grateful for: friends, family, love; the allotment; a bit less cold though still nowhere near warm; great art
