annanotbob2's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Five things I'm going to try and write every night now I have things set up better, whether I have anything to say or not. 1. I am getting used to the bedroom, but I would like a door. I thought I wouldn't mind not having one as I hardly ever shut them, but I realise I like to have a door almost shut. With a cat-sized gap, to minimise yowling. 2. Bloke mended the internet. I could smack him, honestly. It took him less than five minutes, after three bloody months. But still, I haven't had to turn the router on and off all day. 3. Yesterday I did nothing except sit in the shade and read my book. All day. I think I needed that, to feel the tiredness in my body instead of being full of brittle, restless jitteriness. I hardly did more today, apart from nip to the supermarket for some veg, cook dinner and water the pots. 4. I am liking RuPaul's Drag Race, which YD and I are watching on Netflix. I don't think we'll get any kind of equality between the sexes till the construction/illusion of 'masculinity' is seen off and people are free to be who they are, and I think this programme is a definite step in the right direction. 'Sissy that walk!' is a really empowering instruction to give to a bloke - just let go, man, it's all good. And those bitches can sew - it's like the portacabin at Glasto, with make up and sharper repartee. American drag is much more glam than British - at least as far as I can tell, but I'm not exactly in the thick of it. 5. I can see that I'm not as nice a person as I was before ED's MS got heavy-duty, and I don't give a shit. I'm less tolerant, less caring, less nurturing, more snitty, and a lot less fun to be around.
