- Mental Health swim today with big group of people, some of whom I'm starting to get to know. It's every month, winter and summer and I like it. Today I managed to get in despite the waves and lasted a while then sudden, instant panic and had to get out NOW, which I did, asking someone to escort me and hold my hand. Sigh.
- The writing group in the bookshop is fast approaching and we're not sure about the method of payment. I have a paypal account but it's attached to a gmail account I hardly use, because the one attached to my usual email is fucked. I didn't use it for about fifteen years - before lockdown I refused to shop online as I knew it would be a slippery slope and it has been - and when I tried to use it again it wouldn't let me in as I can't remember the password and it's connected to an old phone number and an old bank account. So I opened a new email address just to have a paypal account and ... ach it's all too much faff, isn't it?
- Walked miles with the little dog this afternoon; she's spark out now, asleep on my foot. In the woods, picking blackberries. I got 200g so need another three batches that big and I can make some bramble jelly. It's the best of plants - free food for the picking, all over the place every late summer, and it's the worst of plants - pops up in your garden, everywhere, really prickly with long deep roots, impossible to eradicate.
- Today's headline in The Guardian is about Ultra Processed Food, at last. I worry about vegans - the ones I know eat loads of weird, ultra-processed shit. - Finally started to watch Ted Lasso. Silly. Good - I like silly. I've also watched nearly all season 2 of Ghosts US which I quite like, though I'd like it more if they could manage to have a few less attractive people rather than just the one plague woman who's just repulsive in character as well. Also, they're all pairing off which is a bit annoying.
