Snoozing

I had EMDR yesterday, wild and exhausting as ever was, and for once I’ve followed instructions and actually done fuck all for most of today. Didn’t even get dressed till after 3, when I sauntered over for a bit of yin yoga, and fell asleep during child’s pose, square pose, legs up the wall pose (which may have another name) and shavasana, which is pretty good going, I reckon. Not deeply asleep but enough to be a bit startled when I heard a voice saying, “Slowly, carefully, rise up…” or whatever. Nice.
In the session yesterday we asked what the block is to me recovering some energy, and although the response was symbolic in the extreme, I did feel as if I would now be able to rest properly, and look, I bloody well have, without my brain skittering about thinking I could be doing this or that, then several more things.
And there’s the new season of Ru Paul UK which is my favourite of them all. First episode tonight which was like a talent show where they each had a couple of minutes to do whatever, and bloody hell, this is a talented bunch. Why do we love it so much? No idea, but I do.
And the rain it raineth every day, lashing against the windows like a bastard.
