Tired (surely not?)
Wednesdays have become a bit killer. Up at sparrow's fart to drive to therapy through the rush hour, an hour of intense work, emerge, dazed and far from home, too often see that big gap after therapy in my diary so put something else in - yesterday it ended up with a 3 mile walk, up hill and down dale, then an hour's fucking workout. Done. But not 'done' as in early night, 'done' as in sitting slumped on the sofa, too knackered to heave myself up the stairs and into my bed.
So I've not achieved much today - I did visit my niece and give her a bit of artwork/birthday card, which I just realised I didn't quite finish - I forgot to seal it with a coat of pva. Bah. That's her dog, a bit bonkers as they got him as a puppy just before lockdown so he never had the chance to socialise - which has a particular meaning when it comes to puppies - getting them introduced to things which might be tricky, like buses going past, skateboards, other dogs.
I haven't seen her for ages so it was good to catch up. She had been losing her hair and a year ago had a massive transplant which has settled in well, proper hair all over her head. Not a lot to ask for, really.
I also had a bit of a dip in the harbour with Daughter - the sea really does keep on getting colder and colder right through March. Apparently it'll start warming up in April. I hope so. I have a vision of getting that steroid injection and being able to swim again, really swim, going back and forth, staying in longer and longer as the weather and the water warms up.
Bloke had a bit of a wobble so I unexpectedly had to make dinner and managed to rustle up a lentil and veg soup which turned out unexpectedly OK. It felt like a lazy day, resting but I did quite a lot I suppose.
I'm still keeping my head down regarding current affairs. Honestly. Fuck them all.
