Much better to drift along in a haze of distraction and denial. Partly I think it's hard after going through Sam's birthday, would have been her 44th, and the anniversary of her death and then back to wittering on about nothing much. But that's all life is really, isn't it? Lots of bits of nothing much with episodic calamities and joys. Politics. Jesus. That bloody woman, saying yes it is fair that her intended tax cuts, aimed at sorting out the cost of living crisis will give an estimated £7.66 per year to the poorest and £1,801.89 to the richest. Can she be this stupid? Or does she think that we are? I loved that loads of people are up in arms over comedian Joe Lycett, on a political discussion programme saying that he's very right-wing and that he thinks Truss is marvelous and now he's heard her plans he feels absolutely reassured about the future. Made them all very angry, as if there weren't loads of people saying exactly that and expecting people to believe them. Why did they have him on? He kept an almost straight face as well.
