Day 106

Quick list, nothing more, just go to bed, for fuck's sake, woman.

1. Last session of art therapy which has been fucking brilliant, I was so lucky to fall into that.


2. Lots of Glasto stuff about - it would have started today - book-making workshops in the kids' field. Boo hoo.  Have to stop myself feeling sad because it's really hot and humid and I'd have been miserable, and it's going to start raining soon, for two days solid apparently, with high winds. I'm too old for that kind of shit.


3. Sea swim, heavenly.


4. Shirley's birthday, three, meant to get her a new bed as she chewed through the other one when a pup, but still loves it, so no need for a new one. She didn't even get a walk as it was too hot while the sun was out then I was too tired later. (So why aren't you in bed now?) (Good question)


5. Bloke was out all day, it was fucking great to be on my own in the house, fucking great.


6. My stupid social media row today was about bikers, in response to a worthy but  self-righteous post about the danger people expose themselves to by wearing shorts while riding motorbikes. There were loads of comments, which expanded out to cover people riding bicycles without helmets and to read them you'd think that you were guaranteed to at least need a skin graft if not lifetime care. But the truth is you probably won't and different people have different priorities - some want a bit of fucking fun before they die, and riding your bike wearing shorts when it's as humid as hell and 32C can be a good choice. Risky, but meh. This country can be so stuffy and dull. It's not the same as health and safety laws, in the workplace for example, which I fully support - I don't go to work to get killed by you being a cheapskate and cutting corners. This is about making your choice when it'll only be you affected.
