1. It's colder than it's been for years. My phone app says it's  -3 and 'feels like' -11. I don't really get the 'feels like' bit - if it feels that cold, surely it is? It hurt my face being out in it, but I have walked 4.3 miles, so yay, go me, etc


2. The swimming for ED was cancelled because of the cold - it seemed a bad plan to let them get wet then out into this air. Boo. I can't do next week as I'm going to a stand up gig with YD, so off the swimming goes, disappearing into the future again. It's going to meet up with my pensioner's bus pass soon, away in fantasy land.


3. My car was returned tonight, with a new clutch, all ready to go but looking like a massive pile of dusty crap after I've had a brand new, clean and shiny thing to drive around in for five days.


4. Took Shirley down to the beach and got caught again walking the wrong way. The wind is north-easterly, so walking west it's behind you, blowing you further away from your car than is sensible. Then when you're knackered and you turn round, you have a fight on your hands. Or legs.


5. Yay for an early night, only just after 11. I am so fucking tired you wouldn't believe it.
