Furniture arranging
Had a big wobble of sheer terror, then pulled myself together a bit and carried on with the shifting of furniture round about the place. I took this pic while it was still just about daylight:
and this one just now, from the doorway:
So it's starting to look like a room I live in, at last. That's my pink camping rug, out of the shed, through the wash and good as new. We're going to get a rug for in here one day soon but in the meantime that miserable grey carpet needs covering. Haven't put any pics up yet as I'm too frazzled to make considered choices and don't want to be making holes in the wrong places. We tried to get someone to move the radiator onto the wall at right angles to where it is now, but no fucker wants to do a job that small. And there's one more Billy bookcase to come down from upstairs, but I don't have the energy to carry all the books downstairs yet. We got one of those studenty paper lampshades for two quid - better than a bare bulb. Can't light the fire for another week.
I am grateful for: getting through today; being invited to go bowling on Saturday with YD, H, GS and Son, for the latter's birthday; deciding not to apply for that training - my dealings with insurance companies today reminded me that my power of concentration is really low; finally getting the van insured at a great price; being almost at the end of this awful waiting
