annanotbob2's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sometimes I feel I've got to.. I crashed, quite badly, since my last entry. That one clear statement of pleasure from ED kept me buoyant for quite a while, until I had a blinding reality flash at how little a thing that was. My thirty-five year old daughter speaks a sentence - meanwhile, one of her cousins is in a band whose track has been picked up by Yves St Laurent for their latest TV advert (Tainted Love - I'll do a link in a bit), another is on holiday in Ibiza, another is a journalist, another a cardiologist, the rest are all parents or creative - LIVING - and I haven't done too well since that comparison forced its way into my consciousness. But nor has my darling YD, who came home from a difficult day with her sister to a meeting at the housing dept re her imminent homelessness and tomorrow would have been her best friend's birthday, were she still alive, to name merely her top three aggravating circumstances. So here I am in London, being a good mummy which is easier than being a sad mummy at home alone. YD has necked a goodly dosage of valium and toddled off to bed so is in no danger now. I found the clips - the young woman front left with the glasses is my niece, born and brought up in France, so basically French, mais je suis la tante, toutmeme. I am so proud of her. and here it is in the advert: Today I am grateful for: A quick drive up here; an afternoon with WM who is the most cheering person I know; Bloke going and getting some shopping for me this morning; an enquiry (at long last) for my proofreading thing, fingers crossed; a comfy mattress to sleep on Sweet dreams xx 12:21 a.m. - 09.03.14 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
