All's well that ends well

1. Couldn't sleep last night, despite all the walking.
2. Very tired and anxious driving round M25 from YD's to ED's in waves of blizzard. I never drove over settled snow but kept encountering about ten minutes worth of sudden mass snow, no visibility, all sorts of arseholes belting along with no lights, scary as shit. Made it safely though passed a couple of just happened accidents - lone men walking into the traffic waving it over into the other lane.
3.Got into a big row with ED's neighbour when he came round to see ED and started on about her (awful) carers and managed to turn it round to anti-East Europeans, despite agreeing with us that Bianca and co were infinitely better than the current Brit carers. Soon he was saying all Albanians are lairs and all Romanians are thieves (or vice versa) and would NOT have it that these were definitive racist statements - you cannot make generalisations like that and still claim not to be a racist. He was livid, walked out, wouldn't respond to me trying to make peace and "agree to differ".
4. Took ED into town. Whilst getting her wheelchair into the car I must have put the footrests on the roof of the car and driven off, as they just weren't in the car when we arrived. Bloody neighbour wouldn't answer his phone so I left a message saying could he have a look and see if they were there. Man, that was the awful bit - thinking I'd lost them and it would take god knows how long to get them replaced. When we got back I walked all round the park looking for them - we'd had to go back for the parking disc before leaving the park - did I really get BACK in the car and still not notice them on the roof? Yes, cos SIL found them just off the main road.
5. It's fucking freezing and I can't smoke indoors so I have to go out into the bitter icy wind. Makes it very hard to relax and chill out. That's addiction, folks.
